According to Kantar India research, Parle Products has topped the lists of the most popular FMGG products for a record-breaking 10 years in a row. According to the most recent 2021 research, which lists the most popular FMCG brands based on consumer reach points, it is followed by Amul, Britannia, Clinic Plus, and Tata Consumer Products (CRPs).
Parle is in first place with a CRP score of 6,531,000,000. According to the report, CRPs have grown from 89 billion to 98 billion, with a growth rate that increased from 3% in 2020 to 9% in 2021.
According to the report, the categories of food, health & beauty, and beverages were responsible for this increase in CRPs.
In comparison to 2020(56%), there were more brands expanding in terms of CRP in 2021 (by 70%).
And the growth was more rapid the more popular the brand. According to Kantar India’s analysis, big brands (with penetration levels of above 61%) experienced the fastest growth in 2021, up 8% over the previous year.
“As consumers returned to the marketplace in droves, frequency soared dramatically, which is evident in the big jumps most brands took in their CRPs,” K Ramakrishnan, MD, South Asia, Worldpanel Division at Kantar, said.
