Pepperfry acquires Brandmakerr

 Pepperfry has acquired the interior design firm Brandmakerr for an undisclosed sum.

Rahul Kapuria, the founder of Brandmakerr, has been appointed as Pepperfry’s vice president as part of the agreement. Kapuria will work out of Pepperfry’s Mumbai headquarters, leading the startup’s turnkey solutions, civil and interior design, and commercial interior designing teams.

With this acquisition, Pepperfry will work on projects for the banking, retail, and HORECA industries. In addition, Pepperfry will now be in charge of Brandmakerr’s projects, which were previously managed by the online furniture marketplace.

Pepperfry hopes to collaborate with major players in the retail, F&B, airport, and banking industries through the recently acquired business.

Brandmakerr has amassed a sizable customer base over the years in the design, construction, and fit-out space for the retail and F&B Sector. With this collaboration with Brandmakerr, Pepperfry may now operate in a new market. Ashish Shah, cofounder and CPO of Pepperfry, expressed his excitement about working closely with Rahul to scale this business by developing internal competencies and carrying out business projects.
