Power Grid Corporation of India Limited informed that the company has successfully won the bid to establish an inter-state transmission system for the ‘Transmission System Strengthening Scheme for Evacuation of Power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-E’ on a Build, Own, Operate, and Maintain (BOOM) basis through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding.
This will help strengthen the transmission infrastructure and enable the evacuation of power generated from the solar energy zones in Rajasthan. It’s a significant step towards achieving India’s renewable energy targets and promoting sustainable development.
On March 7, 2023, the Power Grid Corporation received a Letter of Intent (LoI).
The LoI pertains to a project which involves setting up a 765kV D/c Transmission Line in the State of Rajasthan, along with relevant Line Bays.
At around 1.26 PM, Power Grid Corporation was trading 0.33% lower at Rs227.30, against the previous close of Rs228.05 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of Rs230.45 and Rs227.25 respectively.
