Prices of fuel on October 4

According to the most recent price notice sent out by fuel merchants, the price of gasoline and diesel remained stable on October 4 across metro areas. Diesel and gasoline are priced per litre in Delhi at Rs89.62 and Rs96.72, respectively. In Mumbai, a litre of diesel costs Rs94.27 and a litre of gasoline Rs106.31. The costs for gasoline and diesel in Chennai and Kolkata are, respectively, Rs102.63, Rs94.24, Rs106.03, and Rs92.76.

In anticipation that OPEC+ may agree to a significant reduction in crude output when it meets on Wednesday, oil prices edged up in early Asian trade on Tuesday, although worries about the global economy restrained gains. As of 01:08 GMT, Brent oil futures were up more than 4% the previous session and were up 43 cents, or 0.5 %, to $89.29 a barrel.

The price of US oil futures increased by 22 cents, or 0.3%, to $83.85 a barrel. The benchmark saw its greatest daily rise since May in the prior session, rising more than 5%.
