PVR Inox shares rise in early trade on March 5 after opening a six-screen cinema at the Mall of Faridabad, Haryana. At the time of writing, PVR INOX is quoted at ₹1,390.70, up by ₹9.05 or 0.61% on the BSE.
The newly opened cinema features 4K laser projection and Real D 3D, with five premiere auditoriums equipped with celebrity recliners, 2K laser projection, Dolby Atmos sound, and Next-Gen 3D technology.
This marks the sixth cinema for PVR in Faridabad and reinforces its presence in Haryana with a total of 94 screens in 23 properties, part of its expansion strategy in Northern India with 469 screens in 104 properties.
The company now operates the largest multiplex network with 1,732 screens across 363 properties in 113 cities (India and Sri Lanka). PVR INOX’s Managing Director, Ajay Bijli, expresses pleasure over the Faridabad cinema’s opening, highlighting the debut of the first P[XL] with laser projection for an immersive cinematic experience.
On March 1, PVR Inox launched 18 screens in Pune and Patna and reopened the iconic Sangam cinema at Andheri East with advanced theatrical solutions, including 2K projection, Dolby 7.1 audio, and Next-Gen 3D technology.
