Quick Wrap: Nifty Energy Index gains 2.02%

Nifty Energy index ended up 2.02% at 24972.65 today. The index has slipped 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Adani Transmission Ltd rose 8.53%, Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd added 3.21% and NTPC Ltd jumped 2.27%. The Nifty Energy index has soared 26.00% over last one year compared to the 0.32% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index has dropped 1.29% and Nifty FMCG index has dropped 1.27% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.32% to close at 15799.1 while the SENSEX has slid 0.28% to close at 53026.97 today.Powered by Capital Market – Live News
