Rupee Vs. USD: Indian Rupee Opens 17 Paise Lower Against The USD

The Indian rupee opened 17 paise lower against the US dollar on Tuesday due to A stronger US dollar. Spike in US treasury yields reaching multi-year highs after averting a partial government shutdown

Rupee Opened at 83.21 a dollar compared to the previous close of 83.04. On Friday, rupee closed 15 paise higher at 83.04 a dollar; markets closed on Monday (public holiday)

Domestic stock market indices (Sensex and Nifty 50) trading flat in pre-opening session On Friday, FIIs net sold Indian shares worth Rs 1,685.70 crore. DIIs net purchased shares amounting to Rs 2,751.49 crore, according to provisional data on the exchanges
