Rupee Vs. USD: Indian Rupee Opens 4 Paise Higher Against The USD

The Indian rupee opened the trading session at 82.68 against the US dollar, marking a marginal gain of 4 paise compared to the previous close of 82.72. In the previous trading session on Friday, the rupee had closed 7 paise higher at 82.72 against the US dollar.

The benchmark equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, displayed positive momentum in the pre-opening session, reflecting optimism in the market. On Friday, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) made net purchases of Indian shares worth Rs 487.94 crore. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) exhibited robust confidence in the market by net purchasing shares valued at Rs 2,294.93 crore. This data is based on provisional information available on the exchanges.
