Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., which is a division of the Mahindra Group, released its sales figures for tractors in March 2023.
During March 2023, the company sold 33,622 units of tractors within the country, which is higher compared to the sales figure of 28,112 units during the same month in 2022.
The combined sales of tractors, including both domestic and exports, stood at 35,014 units in March 2023, which is a growth of 18% from 29,763 units during the corresponding period in the previous year. The number of tractors exported in March 2023 was recorded at 1,392 units.
Hemant Sikka, the President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “the growth in crop output, stable mandi prices, and government support for MSP increase for significant crops, along with an increase in wages under the MGNREGA scheme, will contribute towards improving the financial stability of rural households and boost the demand for tractors in the coming months.”
In the fiscal year FY23, the company achieved its highest-ever annual sales figure, which was recorded at 4,07,545 units, combining both domestic and export sales.
