Samco Active Momentum Fund NFO: Everything you need to know

Samco Mutual Fund is launching NFO under its “sectoral fund category”, named as Samco Active Momentum Fund. This open-ended funds aims to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in stocks showing strong momentum. 

Investment strategy: The primary investment objective of the Scheme is to seek to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in stocks showing strong momentum. Momentum stocks are such that exhibit positive price momentum – based on the phenomenon that stocks which have performed well in the past relative to other stocks (winners) continue to perform well in the future, and stocks that have performed relatively poorly (losers) continue to perform poorly. The momentum strategy is based on buy high, sell higher or alternatively, cut your losses and let your winners run.

Asset allocation: The Scheme would invest in Equity and equity related securities of momentum theme, debt and money market.

Who should invest?

Investors with very high risk appetite and want to invest for 7 to 10 years in a mutual fund should invest in Samco Active Momentum Fund.

Risk associated: Very high level of risk.

Benchmark: Nifty 500 TRI.

The NFO is available for subscription from June 15 to June 29. The schemes will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase within five Business Days from the date of allotment. The fund offers systematic investment solutions like SIP and SWP to create a flexible investment plan. The minimum subscription amount is Rs 5000/- and in multiples of any amount thereafter.
