On May 7, the Sensex and Nifty traded volatile amid the geopolitical tensions after India carried out precision strikes on terror camps across the border. The Indian Benchmark Index Sensex and Nifty trading in red on May 7, 2025. At 1:35 pm, Sensex is trading at 80,515 (0.16%), a 125 points dip over the previous close. Nifty is trading at 24,348 (0.13%), a 30 point dip from the last close. 

In the National Stock Exchange, 1330 shares advances and 1181 stocks declines. In Nifty 50, 24 stocks are trading in green, and 26 stocks are trading in red. In Sensex, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Titan Company, Bajaj Finance are the top gainers. Top losers in Sensex include Sun Pharma, Asian Paints, HCL Tech, ITC. Bharti Airtel is the only stock that hits 52-week high in Nifty.

In Nifty, Tata Motors, Shriram Finance, Coal India, Tata Steel are the top gainers. Top losers in Nifty include Sun Pharma, Asian Paints, HCL Tech, Grasim. Bharti Airtel is the only stock that hits 52-week high in Nifty. In the broader market, the BSE Midcap index trades at a0.88% gain, whereas the BSE Small cap Index trades at a 1.53% gain to the previous close.
