Simplilearn, the world’s leading online digital skills training bootcamp, has announced the acquisition of American bootcamp training company Fullstake Academy. The acquisition will give the company access to more than 300 employees and 19 new universities in the US. It has trained nearly 700,000 individuals, according to a statement issued on November 28th by the company.
Simplilearn acquired Fullstake in an all-cash deal. However, it did not disclose the value of the transaction. Fullstake will also help the company expand its presence in the bootcamp space and increase revenue to $200 million by FY24 (2023-24), of which 70% is likely to come from global markets, the company said.
Following the acquisition, Fullstack Academy employees will remain in their roles as part of the combined organization, bringing Simplilearn’s total workforce to more than 2,500. Fullstake is Simplilearn’s second acquisition since 2015 when it bought Market Motive, a platform that trains working professionals in digital marketing.
Founded in 2010, Simplilearn offers digital skills programs for professionals to upskill and become certified in fast-growing digital domains. The company offers collaboration programs with educational institutions including Caltech CTME, MIT Schwarzman College of Computing, UMass Amherst and Isenberg School of Management, Purdue University, Wharton Online, IIT-Roorkee and IIT-Kanpur and companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta and KPMG.
