Sonata Software inks multi-year deal with Global Cloud Xchange; stock zooms ~2%

Sonata Software, a global provider of IT services and technology solutions, has announced a partnership with Bermuda-based Global Cloud Xchange (GCX), a leading network service provider that enables global connectivity for new media providers, telecom carriers, and enterprises.

In this multiyear agreement, Sonata Software, GCX’s preferred technology, and business transformation partner will support and maintain the end-to-end application landscape and assist GCX in migrating from legacy technology and platforms to enable strategic business transformation.

“Our strategic partnership with GCX represents an exciting opportunity for both companies to leverage combined strengths in engineering and digital innovation to assist GCX in meeting its digital transformation objectives, allowing them to provide a high-quality customer experience,” Sonata Software’s Chief Revenue Officer, Roshan Shetty, stated.

GCX provides high-bandwidth connectivity and global managed network services, such as managed ICT, cyber security, and UCaaS solutions, to a diverse set of blue-chip customers around the world, including hyperscalers, telecommunications operators, new media providers, and enterprises.

Its 66,000 km of cables span 46 countries from North America to Asia, with a strong presence on the Europe-Asia and Intra-Asia routes in particular.

GCX announced in September 2022 that regulators had approved the completion of 3i Infrastructure Plc. acquisition of a 100% stake in GCX.

At around 12.51 PM, Sonata Software was trading at Rs534 up by 1.64% from its previous closing of Rs525.40 on the BSE. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs535.75 and Rs516.50 respectively.
