Suraj Industries appoints Sanjai Kapoor as Chief Financial Officer; stock adds ~1%

Suraj Industries Limited informed that the board of directors of the company has approved the appointment of Sanjai Kapoor as a Chief Financial Officer of the company effective from June 22, 2022.

Sanjai Kapoor, 62, is a dynamic professional. He earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the Shri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi University before becoming a Chartered Accountant in 1985.

Sanjai brings in 30 years of extensive experience in the liquor segment to the company.

The company further stated that he is not related to any of the directors of the company.

“The role and responsibilities will be as determined under Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015,” stated company in its regulatory filing.

At around 12.21 PM, Suraj Industries’ counter was trading at Rs101, up by 1.20% against its previous close of Rs99.80 on BSE. So far in the day, it touched intraday high and low of Rs103.50 and Rs94.85 respectively.
