Sushil Kumar joins Zuari Global Board as Additional Director; stock skids 4%

In its regulatory filing, Zuari Global Ltd. informed the exchanges and investors that the company’s Board of Directors has vide its circular resolution dated March 2, 2022 and approved by all the directors unanimously on March 3, 2022, has appointed Sushil Kumar Roongta as an Additional director in independent capacity (Independent Non-executive Director) on the Board of the Company for a period of five (5) years w.e.f. March 15, 2022, subject to the approval of the members of the Company.

Roongta, aged around 71, is an Electrical Engineering graduate from BITS, Pilani and PG Diploma in Business Management (International Trade) from IIFT, New Delhi – Gold Medallist. He is regarded as an expert on Strategy and Turnaround in Manufacturing industry in India.

Roongta has appreciatively pulled off the role of CEO for major public and private sector companies across diverse sectors ~ Steel, Aluminium and Power Infrastructure. He is presently on Board of ACC limited, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, J.K. Paper Limited, Hero Steels Limited, Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, and Titagarh Wagons Limited.

Zuari Global Ltd is currently trading at Rs165 down by Rs7.2 or 4.18% from its previous closing of Rs172.20 on the BSE. It touched the intraday high and low of Rs174.30 and Rs165 respectively.
