Suzuki Motorcycle India, a manufacturer of two-wheelers, reported a 49% increase in vehicle sales in March compared to the same month in 2022, the company said on Sunday. In March 2023, the company sold 73,069 units on the domestic market and exported 24,515 units, according to a statement from Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SIMPL).
In March 2022, SMIPL sold 65,495 automobiles altogether.
According to the corporation, total sales for the entire fiscal year 2022–23 increased by 24.3% to 9,38,371 units from 754,938 units retailed in the fiscal year that concluded on March 31, 2022.
‘Suzuki Motorcycle India was able to record the greatest monthly sales of 97,584 units in March, which was a tremendous sales accomplishment. This resulted in a gain of 49% year over year when compared to March 2022 ‘ Devashish Handa told ET, he is Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd.’s executive vice president for sales, marketing, and after-sales.
He stated that ‘this sales rise demonstrates the growing popularity of Suzuki’s two-wheeler products in the local and global markets’ as the company had a double digit sales growth of 24.3% for the fiscal year 2023 compared to the previous financial year.
According to the business, the previous fiscal year was important because it marked the company’s entry into the 250-cc adventure sports market with the introduction of V-Strom SX.
In addition, the business unveiled a number of new products, according to SMIPL.
