Swiggy integrates moonlighting in its HR policy

Swiggy introduced India’s first moonlighting policy earlier this month, allowing all staff members to perform compensated outside jobs. The outside initiatives must not conflict with Swiggy’s operations and must take place on the weekends or after regular work hours.

Around 5,000 people work for the Bengaluru-based food delivery startup, which also employs over 300,000 people in its fleet. The policy is reportedly open to all full-time staff members of Bundl Technologies, the parent business of Swiggy, as well as its subsidiaries, affiliates, associates, and group companies.

To stop severe attrition and declining values, start-ups, e-commerce, IT, and digital enterprises are among those developing a variety of employee-centric strategies.

However, the fresh food delivery service Swiggy’s policy on moonlighting is inclusive, not oppressive, and it outlines everything that could be in contradiction.
