Adani Enterprises: Adani Global Pte Ltd, Singapore, the company’s step-down wholly owned subsidiary, has inked a joint venture agreement with Kowa Holdings Asia Pte Ltd, Singapore. They agreed to sell and market green ammonia, green hydrogen, and their derivatives produced and supplied by Adani Group in the agreed-upon territory.
SJVN Limited: SJVN Green Energy, a subsidiary, has entered into a power purchase agreement with Bhakra Beas Management Board for an 18 MW solar power plant. The project would be built on BBMB land parcels in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. The project is expected to be completed in August 2024.
Schaffler India: The manufacturer of high-precision components and systems has purchased a 100% stake in KRSV Innovative Auto Solutions. The acquisition transaction was completed on September 8th.
Godrej Properties: With effect from September 9, Anubhav Gupta resigned as Chief Executive Officer – Vikhroli and Chief ESG and Sustainability Officer to seek possibilities outside of Godrej Properties.
IRB Infrastructure Developers: The Mumbai-based highway developer registered toll income of Rs 417 crore for August 2023, a 24% increase over the previous year’s figure of Rs 336 crore. Its wholly owned subsidiaries, which manage the Mumbai Pune project and the Ahmedabad Vadodara project, reported aggregate toll revenue of Rs 198 crore in August 2023.
Coffee Day Enterprise: IDBI Trusteeship Services filed a complaint against Coffee Day before the National Company Law Tribunal in Bengaluru under Section 7 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, alleging a Rs 228.45 crore default.
VRL Logistics: Through open market transactions, SBI Mutual Fund purchased 19.29 lakh equity shares, or 2.2% of paid-up equity. These shares were purchased for Rs 131.36 crore at an average price of Rs 681 per share. Promoter Anand Vijay Sankeshwar, on the other hand, sold 35 lakh shares, or 4% of the company, at an average price of Rs 681.08 per share.
Vakrangee: A formal term sheet has been signed between the technology firm and private equity investor Aaviskaar Capital to acquire a 48.5% equity holding in Vortex Engineering. Vortex is a leading provider of automated teller machines (ATMs), having shipped over 10,000 ATMs across India, Africa, and South Asia, as well as software products that support ATM hardware.
Adani Ports & SEZ: From August 14 to September 8, promoters Resurgent Trade and Investment, Emerging Market Investment DMCC, and PACs (persons acting in concert) picked up an additional 2.17% ownership in the company. As a result, the promoters’ stake in the company went from 63.06% to 65.23%.
Siemens: The company’s contingent liability of Rs 106.5 crore has been lowered after the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal invalidated the income tax officer’s assessment decisions for FY09 and FY10 (against the now-merged Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics) and FY15 and FY16.
