GMR Airports Infra: GMR Airports’ subsidiary has agreed to spend Rs 675 crore for the planned airport at Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh, with the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF). This is NIIF’s second investment in a GMR airport, following Goa International Airport.
Bata India: Pankaj Gupta, Head of Retail and Franchisee Operations, will quit and transfer to a worldwide role within the Bata Group on March 1, 2024, according to the business. Badri Beriwal, the company’s chief strategy and business development officer, will also manage the retail division, which includes Bata, Hush Puppies, and franchise operations.
MOIL: In CY2023, the business reported that output will exceed 16 lakh metric tonnes by December 20. According to the firm, this statistic is 26% higher than the previous peak in 2019.
Scooters India: The business issued a letter of offer to delist its stock from the stock market. The delisting offer will be offered from December 26, 2023, until April 8, 2024. The acquirer’s deadline for verification and acceptance of shares is April 18, 2024.
Lupin: LupinLife, Lupin’s consumer healthcare division, has introduced Softovac Liquifibre, a 100% Ayurvedic liquid laxative. With this product, the business enters the Indian liquid laxative market, since it is a liquid formulation of Isabgol fibre and natural actives such as sonamukhi, harad, mulethi, saunf, amaltas, and gulab dal.
Ami Organics: Valuequest Investment Advisors, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte, Malabar India Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius I, and BofA Securities Europe SA paid Rs 334.6 crore for 32,48,500 equity shares in Ami Organics in open market transactions.
Suven Pharmaceuticals: Himanshu Agarwal will be named CFO of the company on January 2, 2024, according to the company. He will take over for Subba Rao Parupalli, who resigned earlier. Previously, Himanshu Agarwal worked at Akzo Nobel India, Astra Zeneca Pharma, and Bennett & Coleman.
Onward Technologies: Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company purchased 1,59,699 equity shares in Onward for Rs 620.75 per share on average. However, entrepreneur Jigar Harish Mehta sold 2 lakh shares for Rs 619.1 per share, while Onward Software Technologies sold 2 lakh shares for Rs 620 per share.
LIC: The Department of Economic Affairs granted the firm an exemption to meet the 25% minimum public ownership criterion within ten years after listing in 2032. The judgement was labelled ‘public interest’ by the department.
Allcargo Gati: The Board of Directors has approved the logistics business to raise up to Rs 500 crore. This is growth money for expansion, capex, working capital, and other purposes.
