Power Grid Corporation: The evacuation of renewable energy (RE) in Tirunelveli and Tuticorin wind energy zone (Tamil Nadu) 500 MW project was commissioned on December 24. Furthermore, for Rs 18.19 crore, Power Grid bought Vataman Transmission (VTL), the project SPV established to develop a transmission infrastructure for the evacuation of an additional 7 GW of RE electricity from Khavda RE Park.
Aditya Birla Capital: The business has invested Rs 850 crore in Aditya Birla Finance (ABFL) and Rs 50 crore in Aditya Birla Capital Digital (ABCDL) on a rights basis. Following the investments, ABCL’s percentage shareholding remains unchanged, and both ABCDL and ABFL remain completely owned subsidiaries of the firm.
Zydus Lifesciences: The Company’s subsidiary Zydus Healthcare received notice from the Income Tax Department, calculating the income tax demand of Rs 284.58 crore for the assessment year 2023-2024. The business is certain that once the correction is made, the full demand will be erased.
Kansai Nerolac Paints: The board of directors of the paint manufacturer authorized a proposal to engage in a sale agreement with Aethon Developers, a subsidiary of Runwal Developers, for the sale of a land parcel in Lower Parel, Mumbai, for Rs 726 crore. As a result, the firm has entered into a selling agreement with Aethon.
Vedanta: The mining business will begin trading ex-dividend on December 27. For FY24, the business has declared an interim dividend of Rs 11 per share.
SJVN: Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has awarded the state-owned firm a 100 MW solar power project. On a build-own-operate basis, the business successfully secured the stated capacity of a 100 MW solar plant for Rs 2.63 per unit. This ground-mounted solar project would be created for Rs 550 crore by the company’s fully-owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy (SGEL).
Karnataka Bank: Customers can now pay their direct taxes (income tax and advance tax) through the lender. On behalf of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), it already offers online remittance through the ICEGATE site for customs duty payments and the GSTN portal for goods and services tax payments, as well as over-the-counter manner.
Piramal Consumer Products: Piramal Consumer Products Private (PCPPL) has agreed to purchase Piramal Tower in Peninsula Corporate Park, Lower Parel, Mumbai, from AASAN Corporate Solutions (ACSPL), a promoter group firm, for Rs 875 crore.
Indiabulls Housing Finance: Mathew Cyriac, a former Blackstone India private equity co-head, purchased an additional 24.99 lakh equity shares, or 0.52 percent of paid-up equity, in the home financing firm at an average price of Rs 213.57 per share. As of September 2023, high-net-worth people already owned 1% of Indiabulls Housing.
UGRO Capital: The Investment and Borrowing Committee will meet on December 29 to discuss obtaining cash through the public issuing of non-convertible debentures, according to the business.
