  1. Vedanta: According to sources, Vedanta-Foxconn has reportedly submitted a revised application to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to establish a semiconductor fabrication unit within the country. This step indicates their continued efforts to pursue the establishment of such a unit.
  2. HDFC Limited: The company has confirmed that the process of merging HDFC and HDFC Bank is currently in progress, although the effective date is tentative and subject to potential changes. The statement follows the earlier announcement by Chairman Deepak Parekh, who had initially stated that the merger was anticipated to be finalized by July 1, 2023.
  3. SBI: The bank’s Executive Committee of the Central Board has granted approval for the acquisition of the entire stake held by SBI Capital Markets in SBI Pension Funds. However, the completion of the acquisition is subject to the receipt of regulatory approvals.
  4. Infosys: The second-largest IT services provider in the country has entered into a partnership agreement with Skillsoft, a provider of transformative learning experiences. The collaboration aims to overhaul education and learning for students ranging from class 6 to lifelong learners in India.
  5. ITC: The company has acquired 857 compulsorily convertible preference shares of Rs 10 each of Mother Sparsh. This acquisition holds an approximate value of 11.54 crore.
  6. Gland Pharma: The United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) has issued a Form 483 to the company’s Pashamylaram facility in Hyderabad. The Form 483 contains one observation, which is related to procedural matters.
  7. Sapphire Foods: Foreign company WWD Ruby has made an exit from Sapphire Foods, the operator of KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell restaurants in India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. WWD Ruby sold its entire stake of 30.3 lakh equity shares, representing 4.77% of the company, through open market transactions. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 1,377.1 per share.
  8. HDFC Life: Promoter HDFC has acquired 1.49 crore equity shares, representing 0.69% of the life insurance company, through open market transactions. The shares were purchased at an average price of Rs 667.1 per share, resulting in a total transaction value of Rs 992.64 crore.
  9. GR Infraprojects: The company is currently conducting an investigation into a pillar sinking incident that took place at the project location of SPV GR Galgalia Bahadurganj Highway. The incident occurred on June 23 at one of their project locations in Kishanganj, Bihar, specifically over the Mechi river.
  10. Titagarh Wagons: The company has been awarded the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) by the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) for the design, manufacturing, supply, testing, commissioning, and training of 72 standard gauge cars for Surat Metro Rail Phase-I. This signifies that the company has successfully secured the contract to provide these services for the Surat Metro Rail Phase-I project.
