Sun Pharmaceutical Industries: The pharma giant announced that one of its subsidiaries has signed a binding letter of intent to acquire the remaining 25% stake in Sun Pharma de México, SA de CV, a subsidiary of the company. Sun Pharma de México, S.A. de C.V. will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the corporation after the remaining 25% of outstanding shares are acquired.
Adani Green Energy & Adani Energy Solutions: The Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company (IHC), which owned more than 1% of two Adani group firms, Adani Green Energy and Adani Energy Solutions, has reached an agreement with a buyer to sell its holdings.
SBI Life Insurance: The board of directors of the life insurance company has approved the appointment of Amit Jhingran as managing director and CEO, effective October 1. Mahesh Kumar Sharma, the current managing director and CEO of the life insurance company, has been appointed as deputy managing director in SBI’s Corporate Centre.
Happiest Minds Technologies: Promoter Ashok Soota has sold around 1.1% of his ownership in the company in block sales. He donated the proceeds from the sale of the shares to SKAN, the public charitable trust for medical research, and Happiest Health. As a result, Ashok Soota’s ownership reduced to 50.13% from 51.24% previously.
Emami: The personal care and healthcare company announced its entry into the juice sector with AloFrut by acquiring a 26% ownership position in Axiom Ayurveda and its subsidiaries/associates for an unknown sum.
Godrej Agrovet: Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDP), the leading producer of Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO), has signed a strategic collaboration arrangement with the company. SDP will offer high-quality oil palm seeds to Godrej Agrovet’s oil palm business unit(s), with the goal of eventually establishing a seed production operation in India.
Yes Bank: The private sector lender has further bought 1,79,37,200 equity shares of Rs 10 each from its subsidiary YES Securities (India) at a premium of Rs 45.75 per share. The lender purchased these shares through a rights offering for about Rs 100 crore.
Piramal Pharma: During September 18-27, the USFDA performed a good manufacturing practices (GMP) inspection of the company’s Bethlehem facility and issued a Form-483 with two observations. Both findings are exclusively about system enhancement, and neither is about data integrity.
