The Nifty futures contract on the Singapore Exchange fell 64.5 points, or 0.37%, to trade at 17,328.5, indicating that the markets will begin Tuesday with a loss. The following 10 stocks may see movement in today’s market:
1)Jio, Airtel & Vodafone Idea:
The largest ever telecom spectrum auction in India attracted a record number of bids totalling Rs1.5 lakh crore, with Mukesh Ambani’s Jio winning nearly half of the airwaves sold with a bid of Rs88,078 crore. Bharti Airtel submitted a winning bid of Rs43,084 crore, while Vodafone Idea paid Rs18,799 crore to purchase spectrum.
2)Zomato:
The online meal delivery app reported that increasing income caused its consolidated net loss for the first quarter of the current financial year to practically be cut in half to Rs186 crore. In the same period last year, the company disclosed a net loss of Rs360.7 crore.
3)ITC:
Following strong results from its business verticals, the FMCG and diversified company announced a 33.46% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs4,462.25 crore for April-June quarter. During the quarter from April to June of the prior fiscal, the company reported a net profit of Rs3,343.44 crore.
4)UPL:
For the quarter ending June 30, the main producer of agrochemicals reported a consolidated net profit increase of 34.17%, to Rs1,005 crore, when compared to the same time in the prior fiscal year. The company’s consolidated net during the April—June 2021—2022 quarter was Rs749 crore.
5)Kansai Nerolac Paints:
For the first quarter ended June 30, 2022, the paint manufacturer recorded a 36.51% increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs152.05 crore. In the months of April and June of the previous year, the company reported a net profit of Rs111.38 crore.
6)NMDC:
The company noted that iron ore output fell from 3.06 million tonnes in July 2021 to 2.05 million tonnes in July 2022, while sales fell from 3.29 million tonnes to 2.95 million tonnes over the same time period.
7)Castrol India:
The manufacturer of lubricants recorded an increase in profit after tax of 47% to Rs206.26 crore in the June quarter. In the second quarter of 2021, the company reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs140 crore.
8)Eveready Industries India:
The manufacturer of batteries and flashlights recorded a decrease of 27.48% in its consolidated net profit for the three months ended June 30, 2022. PAT stood at Rs21.85 crore. In the months of April and June of the previous year, the company reported a net profit of Rs30.13 crore.
9)Union Bank of India:
During the current fiscal year, the state-run lender anticipates recovering Rs15,000 crore from bad loan accounts, the majority of which will come from accounts going through bankruptcy resolution.
10)Pfizer:
The pharmaceutical company handed Upjohn’s business to Mylan, which includes six brands including Lyrica, Viagra, Celebrex, Amlogard, Daxid, and Dilantin as well as related commercial assets and liabilities. In exchange, the pharmaceutical company received Rs180.48 crore from Mylan.
