Top 10 stocks for today – 6th December 2023

Here are some of the stocks that may see significant price movement today.

  1. HDFC Bank: The largest private sector lender in the country has requested shareholder approval for the reappointment of Sashidhar Jagdishan as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank. Additionally, the bank is seeking approval for the appointment of V Srinivasa Rangan as an Executive Director.
  2. SBI: The lender is acquiring an additional 20 percent stake, currently held by SBI Capital, in SBI Pension Funds for Rs 229.5 crore. Following this transaction, SBI’s ownership in SBI Pension Funds will increase to 80 percent.
  3. Honasa Consumer: Fireside Venture Investments, a Venture Capital Fund, has executed the partial sale of its stake in Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, through bulk deals on Tuesday.
  4. Infosys: Infosys has reported that it received a communication regarding the collection of a penalty from an overseas authority.
  5. Bharti Airtel: Bharti Airtel has disclosed that it received an order imposing a penalty of Rs 3.95 lakh under the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act. The company has expressed disagreement with the order and stated that it will undertake appropriate actions in response.
  6. Dalmia Bharat: Dalmia Bharat has appointed Puneet Yadu Dalmia as the Managing Director and CEO of the company for a tenure of 5 years, effective from December 8.
  7. Max Financials: The company has announced that V Viswanand, Deputy Managing Director, will step down from his position and resign as a board member of Max Life after the expiration of his contract on December 31, 2023.
  8. Bank of India: Bank of India has initiated the qualified institutional placement (QIP) book for the bidding of shares by qualified institutional buyers. The state-owned lender has established the floor price for the QIP issue at Rs 105.42 per share.
  9. Powergrid: The company has been issued a Letter of Intent (LOI) to develop an inter-state transmission system project for ‘the transmission system for the evacuation of an additional 7 GW of Renewable Energy power from Khavda Renewable Energy Park under Phase III Part B.’
  10. Sapphire Foods India: The Government of Singapore, as a foreign investor, has acquired 20,19,694 shares in Sapphire Foods through an open market transaction at an average price of Rs 1,400 per share.
