Zomato: Antfin Singapore Holdings Pte, a subsidiary of China’s Ant Group, is expected to sell up to a 2% interest (17.64 crore shares) in Zomato in a block sale for ₹2,800 Crore, according to sources. The floor price for the block sale has been set at ₹159.4 per share, representing a 4% reduction to the current market price.
Wipro: The IT services business has bought a 27% investment in SDVerse LLC in order to improve its position as a leader in software-defined vehicle and cloud car engineering services. The transaction is scheduled to close by the end of March 2024.
NHPC: The state-run power utility has begun construction of the 1,200-MW Jalaun Ultra Renewable Energy Power Park in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh. Bundelkhand Saur Urja, an NHPC subsidiary firm, would invest ₹796.96 Crore to create the solar park. The park is expected to be built in 24 months following investment clearance and will generate around 2,400 MUs of power per year.
Tata Technologies: The Tata Group has nominated S Sukanya as Chief Operational Officer, effective March 6, 2024. S. Sukanya has been appointed by Tata Consultancy Services as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President.
Coal India: The Gevra mine in Chhattisgarh, operated by Coal India subsidiary South Eastern Coalfield, is on track to become Asia’s biggest coal mine. The mine has received environmental authorization to increase production capacity to 70 million tonnes per year from the present 52.5 million metric tonnes.
Bharti Airtel: After receiving conversion notices for FCCBs totaling $40,862,000 from specific FCCB holders, the Special Committee of Directors for Fundraising at the telecommunications company has sanctioned the issuance of 56,81,733 fully paid-up equity shares at a conversion rate of ₹518 per equity share to these FCCB holders. The total remaining principal value of FCCBs listed on the Singapore Exchange amounts to $337.967 million.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation: IRCTC inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swiggy (Bundl Technologies) to supply pre-ordered meals to Indian Railways passengers via IRCTC e-Catering Services. This service will initially be provided at stations in Bengaluru, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Bhubaneswar, with the number of stations subject to mutual agreement throughout the Proof of Concept (PoC) period.
Havells India: The electrical equipment manufacturer intends to broaden its product offering by introducing kitchen appliances such as cooktops, hobs, chimneys, and other built-in appliances. The new venture is intended to profit from business synergies with the company’s current small home appliance portfolio. The firm wants to be one of the top three market participants within three years of starting operations.
Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail: Caladium Investment Pte Ltd., an investor of the company, has chosen to convert all 6,58,00,866 warrants of the company into equity shares, with a conversion rate of one equity share for each warrant.
GR Infraprojects: To satisfy the minimum public ownership, promoter group members Laxmi Devi Agarwal, Suman Agarwal, Ritu Agarwal, Lalita Agarwal, and Kiran Agarwal would sell up to 5% of their interest (48,34,450 equity shares) on the open market. Currently, the overall promoter and promoter group ownership is 79.74%.
