Escorts Kubota: The company has signed a Business Transfer Agreement with Sona BLW Precision Forgings (Sona Comstar) to transfer the current railway equipment business division (RED) as a continuing concern on a slump sale basis for ₹1,600 Crore. This is consistent with the company’s strategy focus on the agricultural and construction equipment sectors.
Infosys: The digital services and consultancy firm launched new and enlarged Living Labs to assist clients in accelerating innovation and using emerging technology to future-proof their enterprises. It also announced a relationship with the University of Cambridge to open a new AI lab in London. Furthermore, the company strengthened its partnership with Meta to accelerate innovation in generative AI through open-source efforts.
Mahindra & Mahindra: The automobile firm has opened two development test facilities in Chennai: the Mahindra Passive Safety Lab and the Battery & Cell Research Lab.
Kalpataru Projects: The Board will meet on 28 October to review the company’s unaudited standalone and consolidated financial statements for the quarter and half-year ended September 2024, as well as a request to raise money through a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP).
Mankind Pharma: The corporation and its affiliate, Appian Properties, have acquired a 100% share in Bharat Serums and Vaccines for ₹13,768 Crore. Following the acquisition, Bharat Serums and Vaccines became the company’s wholly owned subsidiary.
Titan Company: The Board has selected PB Balaji as Tata Sons’ Nominee Director on the company’s board, starting October 28.
Hindustan Unilever: Company’s profit fell 3.9% to ₹2,612 Crore from ₹2,717 Crore. Further, Revenue increased 1.5% to ₹15,508 Crore from ₹15,276 Crore. EBITDA declines by 1.3% to ₹3,647 Crore from ₹3,694 Crore. Margin falls 70 basis points to 23.5% from 24.2%. Volume rise of 3%. The company declared an interim dividend of ₹29 per share.
