With effect from June 1, Ashwani Kumar has been appointed as the new MD and CEO of UCO Bank, a public sector bank in the city.
According to a statement released by the bank on Saturday, Kumar previously served as the executive director of the state-owned Indian Bank and is a certified chartered accountant.
Kumar succeeds S. S. Prasad as the MD and CEO of UCO Bank. He is an experienced banker who has held positions at Indian Bank, Corporation Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, and Bank of Baroda.
