On December 18, mining and metals firm Vedanta Limited declared a second interim dividend of Rs 11 per equity share, which is 1100% of the face value of Rs 1 per equity share for the fiscal year 2023-24 (FY24).
The aggregate amount of interim dividend was Rs 4,089 crore, according to Vedanta’s exchange statement.
The record date for the purpose of dividend payment shall be December 27, 2023 and the interim dividend shall be duly paid within the stipulated timelines as prescribed under law, said the statement.
Vedanta has issued 41 dividends since July 2001. It has announced an equity dividend of Rs 51.50 per share in the last year.
Vedanta is a natural resources corporation that deals in aluminium, ferroalloys, zinc-lead-silver, iron ore, steel, copper, oil and gas, electricity, nickel, semiconductors, and glass.
At around 11.09 AM, Vedanta was trading 0.38% higher at Rs 261.70, against the previous close of Rs 260.70 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high of Rs 266.40.
