Vedantu lays off another 385 employees

As the financial winter worsens, leading edtech platform Vedantu has fired another 385 workers, marking the fourth round of layoffs this year, according to corporate insiders who spoke to IANS on Wednesday.

The layoffs occurred across the sales, HR, and content teams as part of an aggressive effort to cut excess burn and prioritize profitability above growth.

624 individuals, or more than 10% of its staff, were let go by the corporation in May.

In May, the company employed close to 5,900 people.
