We Founder Circle (WFC), an early-stage start-up investment firm, announced the opening of two angel funds to support early-stage start-ups in India.
The initial fund, Invstt Trust, will have a capital of Rs 200 crore and is registered with SEBI. It also has a “green shoe” option for an additional Rs200 crore, bringing the total to Rs 400 crore.
It is looking for investors worldwide for its Circle Global Angels Fund in Gandhinagar’s GIFT City. The fund size is $30 million, with an additional $30 million available as a “green shoe” option.
Both funds will invest in start-ups that are raising pre-seed, seed, and Series A rounds, with average ticket sizes between Rs3 crore and Rs4 crore.
The funds will primarily invest in portfolio entities in a range of industries, including manufacturing, consumer/D2C, deeptech, fintech, EV, content gaming, industrial tech, retail tech, and edtech.
