Wipro Limited, a global technology services and consulting business, today announced the inauguration of its Cyber Defence Centre (CDC) in Dusseldorf, Germany. The CDCs of Wipro are spread out over the world to offer localized support and to meet the cybersecurity and compliance needs of their clients.
Wipro’s Cyber Defence Centre, the 17th of its type, will provide its clients with round-the-clock cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and remediation help in light of the growing threat of cyberattacks and the need of data protection.
This centre will make use of Microsoft’s portfolio of cybersecurity technologies, specifically the Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for IoT (Internet of Things) solutions, as part of Wipro and Microsoft’s global relationship.
Our plan to strengthen Europe’s cybersecurity capabilities and offer cutting-edge solutions to our clients includes our Cyber Defence Centre in Germany. Our capabilities are growing to include cloud-delivered services such as SaaS (Software as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), Operational Technology environments, and IoT. Cybersecurity is a commercial differentiation. We are pleased to offer all these services in conjunction with Microsoft’s cybersecurity software package. remarked John Hermans, Director of Cyber Security & Risk Services for Europe at Wipro Limited.
The centre will also stress-test clients’ cyber defences to gauge their overall cyber resilience and give them customized cybersecurity exercises to prepare them for real-world circumstances.
‘As a reputable industry leader in cybersecurity, we are thrilled to work with Wipro. This collaboration demonstrates our shared commitment to assisting our clients in improving their security posture in the increasingly complex digital environment. By opening a Cyber Defence Centre in Dusseldorf, Wipro is reaffirming its dedication to offering their cutting-edge cybersecurity capabilities to our cherished customers.
‘By leveraging Microsoft’s comprehensive portfolio of cybersecurity solutions, Wipro’s Cyber Defence Centre will empower organizations to proactively manage IT security and compliance,’ said Edith Wittmann, General Manager Global Partner Solutions Germany and Member of German Board at Microsoft.
