The IT giant, Wipro announced on Sunday that the company will consider share buyback proposal on April 27 along with the release fourth quarter results for FY23 and consider other key developments.
In the regulatory filing, Wipro said, “the Board of Directors of the Company will be considering a proposal to buyback equity shares of the Company and the matters necessary and incidental thereto…, at its meeting scheduled to be held over April 26 -27, 2023.”
The last share buyback by Wipro was in FY21 when the company had tendered 22.89 crore shares worth about Rs 9,156 crore in between December 29, 2020 and January 11, 2021.
Shares were bought back at a price of Rs 400 per equity share.
On Monday, the shares of the company trading at Rs 377.40 higher by 2.54% at 3.05 pm from its Friday close of Rs 368.05 apiece on NSE.
