19 Oct 2022 , 09:30 AM

According to a survey, due to the rapid pace of technological and digital improvements, employers throughout India have upped their hiring intentions for freshers to 61% for the period of July to December 2022.

As overall hiring ambitions for the current year climbed to 61%, with regard to hiring of freshers, there is a more than threefold increase in the share of employment chances for them. At the start of the second half of 2022, attracting and keeping talent has become a key priority for many top businesses and business leaders.

“There are a lot more jobs available for new graduates, but many of them require current skills and expertise due to the rapid pace of technological and digital improvements around the world. Thus, breaking down hiring intent in the age of talent wars aids in determining the best course for both students and businesses “CEO and creator of TeamLease EdTech Shantanu Rooj remarked.

Based on a study of 865 small, medium, and large firms from various sectors throughout India, the TeamLease EdTech Career Outlook Report (HY2, July-December 2022) was created.

The study also found that the top industries that have experienced notable growth in the current HY compared to the same period of 2021 are telecommunication (22%) and the engineering sector (20%). Information technology (34%) is followed by e-commerce and technology startups (23%) and telecommunication (22%) in terms of growth.

According to the report, Bengaluru (25%) has seen an increase in hiring intentions for the current HY, followed by Mumbai (19%) and Delhi (18%). The highest gain in degree hiring this year has been recorded in bachelor’s degrees (17%) and diplomas (11%), closely followed by master’s degrees, it continued.
