Lupin Secures USFDA Approval for Generic Skin Treatment Medication

Lupin’s American subsidiary, Novel Laboratories Inc, receives USFDA approval to market a generic skin treatment product. 

The approved product, Fluocinolone Acetonide Topical Oil, is the generic version of Derma-Smoothe/FS Topical Oil by Hill Dermaceuticals Inc.

Lupin will manufacture the product at its Somerset facility in the US. Fluocinolone Acetonide Topical Oil had estimated annual sales of USD 9 million in the US, as per IQVIA MAT March 2023 data.

The approval enhances Lupin’s presence in the US market and reaffirms its commitment to providing accessible healthcare solutions.
