Simplex Castings resumes work at corporate office and factories; Stock climbs 2.5%

The company had temporarily closed corporate office from April 7 and factories from April 10due to the second wave of Covid-19 outbreak and lockdown declared by Chhattisgarh Government.

Simplex Castings Limited has resumed operations of factories and reopened the Corporate office with effect from April 26, 2021. The company had a temporarily closed corporate office from April 7, 2021, and factories from April 10, 2021, due to the second wave of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak and lockdown declared by the Chhattisgarh Government. 

“The company is closely monitoring the situation and will take all necessary measures as directed by the Respective government authorities in this respect. The impact of the temporary close down cannot be assessed at this point of time,” company said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday.

At around 12.37 pm, Simplex Castings Ltd was trading at Rs14.35 per piece up by Rs0.35 or 2.5% from its previous closing of Rs14 per piece on the BSE.
