14 states receive revenue shortfall grant of Rs 7,183 crore from central Government

The post-devolution revenue deficit (PDRD) grant of Rs7,183.42 crore was distributed to 14 states by the Union Finance Ministry on Thursday. The 15th Finance Commission’s recommendations led to the issuance of the award.
14 states will get a total award of Rs86,201 crore from the panel for the fiscal years 2022—23. The Department of Expenditure releases the recommended grant in 12 equal monthly payments to the selected states. The overall revenue shortfall grants given to the states during the 2022—23 fiscal year increased to Rs50,282.92 crore with the delivery of the seventh installment for the month of October 2022.
