According to its Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja, commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland wants to roll out its complete product range with various fuel options over the next 3-5 years to appeal to different groups of clients.
The Hinduja Group’s flagship, the country’s second-largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, also intends to expand its presence in overseas markets.
Hinduja stated that, in addition to electric and CNG trims, the business is looking into alternative fuel options such as hydrogen, ethanol, and others to power its model lineup in the future.
As a result, the objective is to ensure that our entire range is available in all possible alternate fuel types. ‘Whatever the customer requires,’ he explained.
The Chennai-based company, a renowned maker of buses, trucks, and light commercial vehicles, is also trying to expand its international presence by entering new markets, he said.
In celebration of its 75th anniversary, the business launched a new line of electric light commercial vehicles for last-mile transportation. The Switch IeV series intends to give eco-friendly solutions to MSMEs, cottage businesses, and the e-commerce sector.
