Economic Buzz: New Zealand Posts Trade Deficit Of $1.1 Billion In July

According to a report released by NZ Stats, in July 2022, New Zealands goods exports rose $900 million (16 percent) to $6.7 billion. Goods imports rose $1.6 billion (26 percent) to $7.8 billion. The monthly trade balance was a deficit of $1.1 billion. Annual goods exports were valued at $68.3 billion, up $7.1 billion (12 percent) from the previous year. Annual goods imports were valued at $79.9 billion, up $17.7 billion (28 percent) from the previous year. The annual trade deficit was $11.6 billion. In the year ended July 2021 there was a deficit of $1.1 billion.Powered by Commodity Insights
