Gail pays first interim dividend of Rs1,776.15cr to govt and shareholders for fiscal FY22; Stock ends higher

Gail (India) has made a payment of Rs913.84cr to the Indian government and Rs862.31cr to the shareholders as the first interim dividend for the fiscal FY22.

The total dividend paid comes at Rs1,776.15cr.

On December 23 last year, the company’s board had declared a first interim dividend of 40% on the paid-up equity share capital which is Rs4 per equity share for FY22 with a record date of December 31, 2021. The total dividend amount was Rs1,776.15cr.

On Sensex, Gail closed at Rs132.85 per piece up 1.1%.

The stock has touched an intraday high and low of Rs134.15 per piece and Rs131.65 per piece respectively.
