Swiggy names Rohit Kapoor CEO of its food marketplace division

Rohit Kapoor has been named the food marketplace’s chief executive officer by Swiggy. In his position, Kapoor will oversee the food delivery industry and be in charge of creating policies that will promote growth and innovation.

“Under targeted leadership, our food market can develop further.” It has been evolving over the last few years. According to Sriharsha Majety, CEO of Swiggy, Rohit’s professional skills provide him a special perspective on the job.

With more than 20 years of expertise in the field, Kapoor has held several executive positions in finance and sales at prestigious firms, including Max India NSE-0.37% and McKinsey & Co. He spent over four years working for OYO before joining Swiggy, first as the global CMO and then as the CEO of the company’s operations in India and Southeast Asia.

His education includes a postgraduate degree from the Indian School of Business, and he is a Certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Institute, USA).
