Ajanta Pharma soars 6% after strong Q4 nos; India sales up 11%

The sales of the company rose 32.38% to Rs681.96cr in the quarter ended March 2020 as against Rs515.16cr during the previous quarter ended March 2019.

Shares of Ajanta Pharma soared 6% on the BSE in the morning trade after reporting strong Q4 numbers. The pharma company reported an increase in net profit by 45.30% to Rs129.16cr in the quarter ended March 2020 as against Rs88.89cr during the previous quarter ended March 2019.

The sales of the company rose 32.38% to Rs681.96cr in the quarter ended March 2020 as against Rs515.16cr during the previous quarter ended March 2019.

EBITDA at Rs151cr, which was up by 19% in Q4FY20 as against Rs127 cr in Q4FY19.

Q4FY20, India sales was Rs177cr, was up 11% as against Rs159cr. For 12-months, India sales reported a growth of 11% at Rs769 cr.

The stock is currently trading at Rs1,521.95, up by Rs79.75 or 5.53% from its previous closing of Rs1,442.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs1,500.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs1,571 and Rs1,491.50 respectively.
