It is also the first time the state-owned lender is backing one of ACME’s FDRE projects.
The order will be delivered in stages over the next six to ten months and deployed across ACME’s firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects as well as standalone BESS projects
REC will act as the sole lender for the project, providing financing for 18 years.
This contract represents ACME’s entry into the standalone BESS segment, expanding its footprint beyond solar, wind, FDRE, and hybrid energy assets.
The financing has been arranged for a long-term tenure of 18 years and comes from a consortium of international lenders, led by Bank of America and Standard Chartered Bank.
The project is expected to start operations before June 2025, which will be a huge leap in the expansion of renewable energy.
In an exchange filing, the company stated that it had obtained Rs 3,753 crore in term loan financing from REC Limited
ACME has a wide range of renewable energy technologies in its portfolio, and it is always expanding by increasing its capacity.
The IPO, with a price band of ₹275 to ₹289 per share, raised ₹2,900 crore.
Demand was driven by retail individual investors (RIIs), who subscribed for more than twice the amount set out for them.
