EPIC, which is listed in Saudi Arabia, has entered into a contract with the Saudi Water Authority for the manufacturing and supply of steel pipes.
At around 11.04 AM, Welspun Corp was trading 5.11% higher at ₹958, against the previous close of ₹911.45 on NSE.
These segments require heavy-duty pipes, such as 24-inch lines, which Welspun was previously unable to manufacture but will now be able to with the new capacity.
On the revenue side, Welspun Corp recorded a 127% QoQ surge in net profit at ₹674.7 crore in the Dec 2024 quarter versus ₹297.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
This is on top of the ₹3,000 crore orders received earlier by Welspun Corp for similar projects in the US.
