DNV conducted a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the water balance index at ATL’s substations and transmission line clusters across India from August to November 2022.
According to the water balance index, the total water credits of 49,766.86 m3 minus the total water debit of 46,894.38 m3 resulted in a water balance of 1.06 m3 (Positive). Water Balance Index is defined by ATL as “the ratio of water credit over water debit at each site.”
Water stewardship has been identified as a key material issue in ATL’s ESG strategy, and the achievement of “Water Positivity” has strengthened ATL’s commitment to our alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6, said the company in its media release.
The verification was carried out at 30 substations, including HVDC Mundra, HVDC Mahendragarh, Sami, Alwar, Morena, Akola 765KV, Koradi 765KV, Deedwana, Rajnandgaon, Ranpur, Peeplu, Chitri, Bambora, Khatoti, Riyabari, Baytu, Ramji ki Gol, Bar, Ghumati, Ahore, Darbhangha Bays, Badaun, Fatehgarh, Dhanbad, Rajmatai, Bengantikalan, Shekhsar, Ghamurwali, Sorda, Jam Khambhalia.
To a large extent, the verification process was carried out using sample-based checks, the methodology, measurement techniques, estimation methods, assumptions, and uncertainties involved in Adani Transmission’s water accounting process.
At around 12.16 PM, Adani Transmission was trading at Rs2,839 per piece, down by 0.5% from its previous closing of Rs2,853.20 on the BSE. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs2,897.35 and Rs2,832 respectively.
