The Solvent Extractors Association of India has compiled the export data for export of oilmeals for the month of May 2022 provisionally reported at 255,453 tons compared to 228,319 tons in May 2021 i.e. up by 12%. The overall export of oilmeals during April – May 2022 is reported at 589,425 tons compared to 532,024 tons i.e. up by 11%. First two months of the current year (2022-23), export of rapeseed meal has shown a sharp jump and reported at 398,355 tons compared to 274,692 tons i.e. up by 45%. Currently India is the most competitive supplier of rapeseed meal to South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and other Far East Countries. However, in case of soybean meal the export is at the lowest level as India is out priced in the international market. Current price of soybean meal FOB Kandla is quoted at US$ 720, while soybean meal Argentina CIF Rotterdam is quoted at US$ 532 and Brazil at US$ 525. Export of rice bran extraction is down however, the export of castor meal has marginally improved compared to the same period of last year.Powered by Commodity Insights
