About the Author:
Tan Yinglan had previously been the first Director for China, 3i Venturelab, INSEAD, a joint-venture between private equity firm 3i (LSE:III) and INSEAD where he worked closely with senior management in Asia to develop and manage growth strategies i.e. IPO and M&A opportunities. He has served on boards of growth ventures in Asia and a U.S. private-equity fund of funds. Yinglan teaches modules on Entrepreneurial Finance and Entrepreneurial Management at Singapore Management University and he has been featured in The Deal, Dragon TV and CCTV (China’s largest TV network.) Yinglan was educated at Harvard, Stanford and Carnegie Mellon. He now works in government to enhance the venture capital and entrepreneurship landscape in Singapore.
