Schneider Electric Q4 net loss narrows to Rs-11.25cr on higher revenues yoy

Schneider Electric Ltd reported 7.66% higher consolidated revenues for the Mar-21 quarter at Rs247.18cr. On a sequential basis, net sales revenues were down -47.67% compared to total revenues in the Dec-20 quarter at Rs472.31cr.

Full year revenues for FY21 were -6.3% lower at Rs1,287cr. The company has accumulated losses to the tune of Rs.357cr as of the end of Mar-21. This has led to substantial erosion of net worth of the company and also has created near term uncertainty regarding the sustainability of future cash flows.

Net losses in the Mar-21 quarter narrowed sharply to Rs-11.25cr as compared to a net loss of Rs-25.75cr in the Mar-20 quarter. However, the performance was a contrast to the Dec-20 quarter when the company had reported a net profit of Rs33.34cr.

However, the net cash from operation activities in the financial year FY21 has improved sharply to Rs7.6cr on the back of better working capital management by the company. The company had a small exceptional loss in the quarter on account of restructuring undertaken by the company.
