GE T&D Ltd reported a sharp improvement in EBITDA margins on a yoy basis, despite falling revenues in Q3FY19. Revenue fell by 18.8% yoy to Rs1,168cr. EBITDA stood at Rs113cr, up 123% yoy. EBIDTA margins for the quarter rose by 612bps yoy to 9.6%. Net Profit stood at Rs53cr for Q3FY19, down 26.1% yoy.
- Gross margins rose by 673bps yoy as raw material costs fell 26.2% yoy. This led to significant expansion in EBITDA margins on a yoy basis.
- The company reported a 91% yoy fall in other income as the company has deployed cash towards deleveraging of the balance sheet.
- Finance cost fell to Rs14cr in Q3FY19 due to deleveraging efforts by the company.
- Tax rate for 9MFY19 stood at 36.6% against a taxrate of 34.5% for FY18.
