Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Q4FY16 standalone net loss narrows to Rs.29.43 crore yoy : Estimates Mixed

KK Birla Group-owned fertilizer producers, Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd's standalone net loss narrowed to Rs.29.43 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 compared to Rs. 103.57 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year and Rs. 163.33 crore in the preceding quarter. The company’s revenue stood at Rs. 1,595.29 crore, up 2.72% yoy but down 43.73% qoq.

Its standalone core operating profit of Rs. 123.51 crore for the quarter, clocked growth of 174.44% yoy but decline of 49.71% qoq. Operating profit margin for the current quarter at 7.74% expanded by 484 bps yoy but contracted by 92 bps qoq.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company reported standalone net profit of Rs. 86.29 crore, declining by 63.56% yoy. Its standalone revenue for the period stood at Rs. 9,624.30 crore, registering growth of 8.36% yoy.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals' core operating profit stood at Rs. 771.40 crore, recording growth of 9.75% yoy. Operating margin for the current period at 7.98% expanded by 7 bps yoy.

Bloomberg estimated the company’s standalone net profit at Rs. 61.04 crore.

Corporate Action: Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals at its meeting held on May 11, 2016, has recommended a dividend of Rs. 1.90 per equity share of Rs. 10 each of the Company. The dividend shall be paid within the prescribed time after the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting, subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 63.8, up by 0.15 points or 0.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 63.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 65 and Rs. 62.9 respectively. So far 201783(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2649.18 crore.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 72.75 on 10-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 50.85 on 12-Feb-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 65.15 and Rs. 60.6 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.13 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.88 % and 21.44 % respectively.
