KNR Construction Ltd's reported Q1FY19 results beat the estimates. Revenue in the quarter grew 15.8% yoy to Rs556.4cr against Rs480.7cr in Q1FY18, beating the estimates (Rs476cr). EBITDA for the quarter grew 30.1% yoy to Rs109.9cr against Rs84.5cr, beating the estimates (Rs77cr), while EBITDA margin grew 217bps yoy to 19.8%. Net profit for the quarter grew 9.5% yoy to Rs74cr against Rs67.6cr last year, due to an increase in the tax rate as benefits from 80IA slowly taper off.

• The company has received five HAM Road Projects worth of Rs5,611.2cr
• Order book as on June 30, 2018, stood at Rs1,980cr as of June 30, 2018, comprising of Rs1544.6cr in roads sector, Rs433.7cr in irrigation, and Rs1.7cr in others

Technical View:

KNR Constructions Ltd ended the day at Rs228.15, up 0.05 points, or 0.02%, from its previous close of Rs228.10 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs230.05 and touched a high and low of Rs231.80 and Rs225.55, respectively. A total of 1,38,906 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The stock is currently trading above its 200 DMA.
